Medical Social Work
Conducts psychosocial assessment of patients and families.
When assessment determines the need, counsels patient/family
on a short-term basis. Prioritizes needs, offers options and
provides information and resources. Promotes self-help, encouraging
clients to seek and maintain further treatment or assistance
as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work required; MSW preferred;
ASCW preferred.
