Live Well Diabetes Self Help Group
Our self-help group provides support and information for
people dealing with diabetes. It is a great opportunity for
persons with diabetes to meet others who share similar experiences.
We'll talk about things important to you. We often have special
guests or enjoy unique presentations. Meetings are informal
and free. Anyone in our community with diabetes, along with
their family, is invited.
Meetings include:
• diabetes educational presentations
• general good health information
• time spent learning from and supporting each member
as we all live daily with our disease
The group is not a replacement for individual diabetes self-management
education and treatment from a physician, but a supplement
to both.
The Diabetes Self Help Group normally meets on the fourth
Thursday of each month from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the
Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology located at 300 Lafayette
SE in the Wege Center for Health & Learning.
